The team says it develops cryptographic protocols that expand what can be built on Bitcoin without changing consensus [allocinit.xyz]. Its building blocks are Bitcoin PIPEs, a primitive based on witness encryption that locks a signing key behind a condition such as a valid zero-knowledge proof; programmable security vaults for native BTC; and Shielded Bitcoin, a non-custodial metaprotocol for private transfers on Bitcoin L1 without bridges or a separate chain. Research on its site is signed by Clara Shikhelman, Michel Abdalla and Lev Soukhanov.
