Privacy policy

Who we are
bitcoinhub.asia (Bitcoin Hub) is a free bitcoin data and education site. The same site is also served at 21btc.cc. This policy covers both.
Reading the site
You can read everything, including the forum, without an account. We do not ask for your name or phone number; an email address is only needed if you choose to subscribe to the daily digest.
Signing in with X
To post on the forum you sign in with your X (Twitter) account. We request read-only access (users.read, tweet.read, offline.access). We cannot post, follow, like or send messages on your behalf.
From X we store: your X user id, handle, display name and profile picture URL. To limit spam we also keep your X account creation date, follower count and verified flag. We do not keep your X access or refresh tokens: they are used once to read your profile and then revoked.
Forum posts
Your posts, replies, likes and reports are stored on our server with the time they were made. Posts and your handle, name and avatar are public. Reports are visible only to the moderator.
You can delete your own posts at any time. A deleted post is no longer shown. To erase your whole account and all posts, send the request through the site's feedback form (“Site feedback and ideas”) and we will do it within 30 days.
Cookies and local storage
qf_sess: a random, httpOnly session cookie set only after you sign in, valid for 30 days or until you sign out. qf_oauth: a short-lived (10 minute) cookie used only during X sign-in. qbein-locale: remembers your language.
In your browser's local storage we keep your theme, language and share-prompt state. These never leave your device.
AI search
When you ask the AI search (/search) a question, the question and matching passages from this site are sent to our AI provider (Minara Cloud, an OpenAI-compatible service) to write the answer. Please don't type personal details into it. We do not save or log your questions or the answers.
To keep the free daily limit fair we count answers per visitor: qb_ai is a random httpOnly cookie (30 days) and your IP address is kept only in server memory as a salted hash that changes every day. Counts reset at 00:00 UTC and are never written to disk. Google Analytics receives only that a question was asked (language, model, rough length) and which source link was clicked, never the question text.
Daily email digest
If you subscribe on /subscribe, we store your email, language, sign-up and confirmation time and the date of the last email in a private file on our server. Nothing is sent until you confirm by clicking the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in); unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 48 hours. Emails are delivered through Resend (resend.com). Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link; after unsubscribing we send nothing more. We never sell or share the list.
Mining service requests
If you send a request on /services/hashrate, we store what you typed (name, Telegram or email, hashrate, ASIC models, country, comment), your language and the time, in a private file on our server. Only the site owner sees it; it may be forwarded to the owner's own email or Telegram as a notification. We use it only to reply about the service, never sell or share it, and delete it on request (send a request through the site's feedback form, “Site feedback and ideas”). For spam protection your IP address is kept only in server memory as a salted hash for up to one day.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, pages and share clicks. Google sets its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and processes your IP address under Google's privacy policy. We do not send your X profile or posts to Google.
Mobile apps
The 21 BTC Android app and the iPhone Home Screen app show the same website and follow this policy. They collect nothing beyond what the site does: no account, no contacts, no location, no advertising ID. The app stores only the site's own local data (theme, language, the last loaded bitcoin price for the offline screen) on your device.
Server logs and IP addresses
Like any web server, ours writes standard access logs (IP address, time, page, browser). For rate limits the forum keeps IP addresses in memory only, for up to one day; they are not written to the forum database.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone except as described above (X for sign-in, Google for analytics, Resend to deliver service-request notifications to the site owner), or when the law requires it.
Contact: the site's feedback form (“Site feedback and ideas”).
