Tokyo-listed former hotel company that adopted bitcoin as its treasury reserve in April 2024. It is Asia's largest corporate holder and No. 2 among listed companies worldwide. For many investors in Japan it works as a bitcoin proxy inside a tax-advantaged NISA account.
Metaplanet is a Japanese company that keeps its reserves in bitcoin. Its goal is to own 1% of all bitcoin (210,000 BTC) by the end of 2027.

Announced 6 June 2025 as the “555 Million Plan” (with an interim 100,000 BTC by end-2026) and publicly reaffirmed in February 2026. The October 2026 capital-allocation update did not restate the number, so treat it as the company's stated goal, not a forecast.
